FACTORY HUB ACADEMY
The Factory Academy is a response to the growing demand for support to achieve inclusive and sustainable business and industrial development. The scope of action comprises an ecosystem of symbiosis between local companies, institutions, schools, universities, research institutes and centres and municipalities aimed at strengthening local productive capacities, thus promoting economic competitiveness.
Inclusive and sustainable industrial development is key to reducing social and economic inequalities, promoting the development of skills and competences in a business/industrial context that meet the needs of the local labour market.
The relevance of the Factory Academy as an integrated approach to all three pillars of sustainable development is recognised by the recently adopted 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The work carried out by the Academy falls under SDGs: 4, 8 and 9, which is stated as "Quality Education". "Decent Work and Economic Growth" and "Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and foster innovation".
Through its training programmes, Factory Academy promotes industrial development that reduces its environmental footprint and supports the creation of fair and inclusive employment.
